Recently I have had a few questions in regards to the "Edit Info" option on other peoples facebook fan pages. There is concern that you can edit other peoples information and that is not true. Only "admins" to your page can actually change information. 
You will see if you click on someones fan page info tab an option to "Edit Info." This will only allow you to suggest information relating to that business. This function is there to assist facebook in correcting information for it's "places" application. You will also see a place below to check for duplicate locations for the same business.
If a business has not listed an address and you are unable to "check-in" you will not see an option to "Edit Info" on their info tab.So, if you see errors about the business information go ahead and click on the "Edit Info" and make suggestions to facebook to correct that info.
